The figurative structure of Koretskaya’s works is based on the associative experience of semantic meanings. Playing with the theme of the ugly in art, she uses the language of the grotesque. In her works, nothing evokes a feeling of admiration or pleasant contemplation. The created images are disturbing by some kind of internal tension and reflect life seen from the inside. Crowded in the mind of the artist, they strive to break free so that unreality becomes reality. Their appearance could be explained by the difficult and contradictory times in which we live. However, the rebellious spirit seized Sandra long ago.
As a child, she was a restless and restless child. The decision to send the girl to the Taganrog art school was made by her grandmother, and it turned out to be fateful for her granddaughter. The first steps, like many young children, Sandra took under the guidance of E. Dmitrieva. Having matured, she studied with V. Baranovsky. The demanding teacher paid a lot of attention to work on the composition, forcing him to work on sketches for a long time. It was he who suggested using the technique of ink, pen, which interested his student. Long sessions of drawing and painting captivated the girl so much that she could not imagine herself in the future without art. Then followed studies at the RCU, Kharkov Academy of Design, SFU. In her student years, learning the basics of the craft, Sandra retained her special vision and sense of the world and strengthened her creative position.
